Australia's leading concert percussionist Nick Parnell returns to the beautiful Flinders Ranges for an afternoon of fine music, fine wine and fine food. This year Nick performs his new show, Bach to Brazil, one man with 50 instruments in a vibrant and festive performance that encompasses Brazilian rhythms and soaring Bach melodies .
The concert is preceded by a delicious lunch featuring succulent Salt Bush Merino. Held in the historic renovated woolshed, The Blacksmiths Chatter, Rhythms and Wool Bales has become a favourite of the Tastes of the Outback Festival.

Nick Parnell grew up in Orroroo and has gone on to be regarded as Australia’s most exciting young concert vibraphonists. He has performed with artists including pianist David Helfgott and the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, and festivals including the Canberra International Chamber Music Festival and Bundaleer Festival. A leader of the new generation of performers, Nick breaks traditional classical music boundaries by performing works by Bach and Chopin on vibraphone. Winner of the 2001 International Melbourne Percussion Competition, his explosive energy and precision on instruments including marimba, drums, gongs and cymbals, have fascinated and enchanted audiences throughout Australia, Asia and the UK. Nick is signed to Australia’s most prestigious record label, ABC Classics.
